I am the past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 649 in Augusta, Georgia. I was the commander for three years from 1997-1998, 1998-1999 and 2000 - 2001.

We hired Kathy Lynn as a solo act and also her group, Queen of Hearts, in 1997.

We usually have Kathy as a solo act in the canteen and also her group in the large hall.

Kathy is a great entertainer/singer by herself and with her group. Kathy has done a lot for the 649. She draws and keeps a good crowd every time she performs. Kathy has many fans here at the 649. She has been singing here for many years and the members still look forward to her coming back to entertain.

Kathy has always been very professional, dependable, and a pleasure to work with.

Other organizations and individuals have also hired her, as a solo act, as well as her group, Queen of Hearts, as a result of seeing great performances at the VFW. She has been hired by Fort Gordon, our local military base, the American Legion Post 178 and a nearby local lounge. She has also been hired by individuals for company parties, for weddings, receptions and other private parties.

I served on the entertainment committee for Point South Golf Club. I hired Kathy and her group in 1998 for our Christmas party. The golf club was very pleased with the performance and have been hiring Kathy every year since. We have enjoyed having Kathy perform at the VFW 649 and we want to keep her coming back as long as we can, even though she has moved to Myrtle Beach.
